How Jottler Works
Jottler turns content operations into a system: strategy, creation, and publishing connected in one workflow.
1) Connect your site
Start with your website URL. Jottler analyzes your site to build a brand-aware content profile (what you offer, audience context, positioning, and focus areas).
Then add your sitemap URL(s). Jottler loads internal pages into your Link Hub, which powers contextual internal linking in future articles.
2) Build strategy with Topic Tree
Jottler uses your site profile and market context to generate a Topic Tree: organized content pillars and subtopics designed for topical authority.
This is not a flat list of ideas. It is a structured taxonomy you can evolve at any time:
- add new pillars
- expand subtopics
- move or remove branches
- regenerate when your business or audience shifts
Topics are generated from this tree and queued according to your publishing settings.
3) Write through a 4-phase pipeline
Each article moves through four stages:
- Research: gather current source material and relevant context.
- Digest: turn raw findings into a focused brief.
- Outline: build a clear section structure for readability and SEO.
- Write: generate full draft content with formatting and on-page SEO elements.
This staged flow improves consistency versus one-shot generation.
4) Move through the content pipeline
Every article has a clear status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Topic is generated and waiting |
| Approved | Ready for writing |
| Writing | In the 4-phase pipeline |
| Draft | Ready for review or publish |
| Published | Live on your site |
If you decline a topic, Jottler can replace it so queue balance is preserved.
5) Review manually or run on Autopilot
You can stay hands-on:
- approve/decline topics
- edit drafts
- request AI revisions
- publish manually
Or run Autopilot:
- queue progression and writing run automatically
- optional auto-publish pushes finished content live
- 15-minute cycles keep work moving within your frequency and plan limits
6) Publish directly to your CMS
Jottler publishes to your connected destination:
- WordPress via REST API + Application Password
- Webflow via API token, collection selection, and field mapping
- Framer via plugin-based sync flow
- DropInBlog via Public/Private API keys + Blog ID
- Shopify via app credentials and Shopify app install flow
No copy/paste workflow required.
Integration model:
- One primary CMS per site: WordPress, Webflow, DropInBlog, or Shopify
- Framer can be used alongside either via sync
7) Strengthen SEO with smart internal linking
As Jottler drafts content, relevant links from your Link Hub are inserted contextually into the body. This helps build connected topic clusters and improves crawl depth across your site.
8) Control pace with scheduling and frequency
Set your publishing pace (1, 2, 3, or 5 per day). Jottler schedules
items to match that cadence and reschedules pending work when frequency changes.
This gives you predictable output without manual calendar management.
9) Operate as a team and across multiple sites
Jottler supports collaborative workflows and multi-site operations, with each site maintaining its own:
- brand/profile settings
- Topic Tree
- queue and pipeline
- integration configuration
You can scale from one site to many without changing process.
